Benny and I know that our spirit and soul have no need of sleep like our body does, so at night, we ask the Lord to bless our sleep. We ask Him to give us dreams and visions that help us to know what is happening in the unseen realm around us and to let us retain them and understand what He is showing us. As I was waking up this morning, my dream was very specific.

I dreamed that I was one of four babies, surrounded by light and having a great time. We were in something like a bounce house where we were bouncing off the sides and the floor, laughing as we took turns with more and more outrageous jumps. Then I heard a voice saying that if this kept on, birth was imminent and that the mother would not be able to survive it. I realized that it was a doctor talking to the father and that while all was joy and light where I was, it seemed cold, dark and full of sadness where he was. He couldn’t face the thought of raising four babies and as the mother died, he faded out of the picture.

Then I knew that the babies were under the care of another one who was raising them up to be children of light. He was singing to them a Clint Black song, I Need a Real Good, Feel Good Summertime Song and the lyrics being emphasized were

“I want my mind on the sunny side, always in the light where I have to wear my shades because the future is so bright!”

At that point, I realized that the singer was my spirit and that he was singing to my soul, reassuring me that while things may seem dark and out of control in the natural world, in Truth, it is necessary for us to be brought forth into the fullness of understanding as Children of Light.

For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light.  Ephesians5:8

Part of my journal entry for this morning was: “Yes, the natural world is in distress. It has to go through convulsions of a horrendous kind in order to bring forth My children of light, but that is not the end. There is a glorious future ahead of you! So this is my song to you this morning to let you know that even though you must pass through a place of darkness and it tries to grab onto you time and again, you are a child of light and your future is brighter than you can imagine. Fantastic things are ahead on your path. Remember that and listen to my song as I encourage you in your walk. You are pressing into things that you have only a cursory knowledge of Now, but I Am preparing to show them to you in depth so that they become as familiar to you as putting on your socks and shoes – something you once had to learn!”

‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants—men and women alike—and they will prophesy. Acts 2:17,18
